Amelia Rope Chocolate

I’m not the biggest of chocolate eaters, almost always choosing stinky cheese over a choccie pudding; however, I am currently unable to put down one of Amelia Rope’s bars of chocolate…
I came across her (and said bars) in Liberty where I promptly sampled one of each, the one I thought I would like the least, naturally, is now the one I like the most: 40% cocoa milk with lemon and sea salt. It’s dreamy, unexpectedly citrusy, salty and sweet, all at the same time; plus, it contains essential oil, no peel, and hits of Maldon Sea Salt Flakes.
I also had to have the Hazelnut & Sea Salt (the Hazel being my favourite nut of all), as well as the Coffee Bean, both of which are generously speckled. The Hazelnut is rich in an expensive Ferrero Rocher kind of way, the Coffee gives you crunchy bitterness and a hit of sweet cocoa at the same time.

Amelia makes the bars by hand, using single origin cocoa and premium essential oils, fruit and nuts. Wrapped in coloured foil and brown paper, each one is numbered by hand, signed by Amelia, and tied with ribbon making them perfect gifts. She even offers a bespoke personalisation service!
